REASONS FOR TAKING A CFA COURSE

  • Attain membership in a world recognized aromatherapy association
  • Receive an official aromatherapy designation CAHP (Certified Aromatherapy Health Professional)

We approve the school’s Aromatherapy Certification Course curriculum that is submitted at the time of application.

The CFA does not oversee the facilities of approved schools and does not assume any responsibility for the method of instruction used, facilities or quality of instruction.

Essence of Thyme was founded by Colleen Thompson in 1996 and initially was a retail aromatherapy business. Over the years the company expanded to include wholesale aromatherapy sales, retail aromatherapy products and a holistic spa.

Colleen has been teaching aromatherapy courses through Continuing Education, West Coast College of Massage Therapy in New Westminster and through local community centres and libraries since 1996. Colleen’s expertise in product development and formulation, aromatherapy practice, business and adult education is reflected in the Aromatherapy Certification Course she offers.

The course is offered through Correspondence and completed at a pace that suits the individual student. She offers one-on-one mentoring at no additional cost upon request of the student. The course is approved by the British Columbia Alliance of Aromatherapy and the Canadian Federation of Aromatherapists.
