Bergamot - Citrus bergamia
It has a very sweet, light, tangy, citrusy aroma.
Traditionally used to calm nerves, it is naturally antibiotic and a disinfectant. It blends well with Black Pepper and Rosemary to freshen up any home or work space this spring.

A Glimpse in the WEEKEND Aroma Class with Mark Webb – March 2017 Event
2 Day Certificate Course – Aromatic Medicine Class with Mr. Mark Webb
Day 1 – Aromatic Therapies – An Overview
The first day will be an overview class of Mark Webb’s concept of aromatic therapies and how each part of the advanced class fits into that picture.
This will serve as an introduction to the aromatic prescribing technique and show why aromatic chemistry & pharmacology is essential learning and how the various dose forms & application techniques fit within this model. This introduction would also discuss a limited materia medica with a number of clinical case studies. Learning about these dosing forms will assist with other non-internal dosing forms and application techniques in your own practice. Great for review as well as new knowledge with updated studies.
Day 2 – Australian Aromatics – Their Past, Present & Future
Mark will explore the history, chemistry and uses of the aromatic plants of Australia. Some of these, such as Tea Tree and Eucalyptus will be very familiar to you, but others, such as FragoniaTM, Honey Myrtle and Desert Rosewood (Buddawood) may not be so familiar.
Since Mark began his work on the aromatics of Australia back in the late 1990’s there have been many developments across the following areas:
– Discovery, examination and cataloguing of new species
– Commercialisation of new species and new extraction techniques
– Applications in complimentary medicine
– Applications in orthodox medicine
– Applications in cosmoceuticals and personal care
– Applications in cuisine (‘Native Foods’)
– Industrial applications
He will go into detail about the history and personalities who pioneered the Australian aromatic landscape and compare this to what was going on in the rest of the aromatic world at this time.
Mark will also look at the expanded Australian “Aromatic toolkit” or material medica from a chemistry and therapeutics perspective (including essential oils, hydrosols & CO2 extracts).
You will discover how to safely formulate with Australian Aromatics across different dose forms, applications methods and also how to use them in conjunction with other commonly available aromatics to best effect.
Keep in mind this is only a glimpse of what you can expect during this 2 day seminar with Mark Webb. What you will learn will be very applicable to your everyday practice here in Canada. You will come out of it more informed and inspired to treat your clients.
